Up for sale is a nice used example of a classic third party Ultra-Zoom lens for Pentax KAF mount film and DSLR cameras, the igma Sigma APO 50-500mm f/4-6.3 EX DG. This lens, known popularly as the "Bigma" for its large size and incredible 50mm (normal) to 500mm (ultra telephoto) zoom range, is one of the longest range zooms ever released for the Pentax system. It features Apochromatic rendering and coatings optimized for digital usage and thus remains popular today for those shooting Pentax DSLRs, including the Full Frame K1 series, with which it is fully compatible. This is the "APO EX DG" version of this lens, which employs the more reliable in-body screw-drive focus system and relies upon the camera's in-body image stabilization system. Lens is in excellent used condition, with excellent mechanics and glass free of scratches/haze/fungus with only a few dust specks typical of a used zoom lens. Lens exterior has light wear/scuffing, and minor peeling of the rubberized coating on the Arca Swiss style built-in tripod mount. Lens has been tested fully working on a Pentax K1 DSLR. Includes caps, matched hood, and original carrying case (one of the leather strap loops on the carrying case is torn and needs to be repaired). This lens features the “AF” version Pentax K mount, which can be used natively on all Pentax K mount SLRs and DSLRs, with mechanically coupled aperture on early K mount film cameras and electronic coupling and autofocus available on later Pentax film cameras and DSLRs. It also can easily be adapted for manual use on most popular DSLR, and mirrorless formats with an inexpensive adapter ring (sold separately, see chart below for digital compatibility).
