Up for sale is a stunning, mint condition example of the classic Auto Vivitar Wide Angle 20mm f/3.8 in Konica AR mount. Produced by the well-regarded Kino Precision (Kiron corporation) for Vivitar as evidenced by its serial number beginning in "22," this lens was among the widest available in 35mm format at the time of its release, featuring a true 20mm field of view. This particular example is the finest I've ever come across of this lens, appearing virtually brand new, with no noticeable handling wear, and perfect mechanics, with its original JMDC inspection sticker still intact. The optics are free of scratches and fungus, and unlike nearly every other example of this lens I've ever encountered, this example does not have a hazed rear doublet! Sale includes original slide-on metal cap and plastic rear cap!. This lens features the Konica K/AR mount which can be used natively on Konica film SLRs. It also can easily be adapted for manual use on most popular DSLR, and mirrorless formats with an inexpensive adapter ring (sold separately, see chart below for digital compatibility).
